Holly Marrinson

Dr. Holly Marrinson has been with Animal Medical and Surgical Center since 2015 and is currently serving as one of the hospital’s managing veterinarians since 2021. She has been practicing in the Atlanta area since 2006 after earning her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Georgia. Upon graduating, she completed a demanding year-long small animal surgical and internal medicine rotating internship at Georgia Veterinary Specialists (now referred to as Blue Pearl) and then entered into private practice. Prior to becoming a veterinarian, she earned her undergraduate degree from Brevard College where she played collegiate basketball for four years. She studied at the University of Ghent College of Veterinary Medicine in Belgium as an exchange student and worked in Southern California as a task force member in the surveillance and diagnostics of an infectious poultry disease.

Dr. Marrinson loves all aspects of veterinary medicine but has a particular interest in soft tissue and orthopedic surgery. She is proficient in abdominal and gastrointestinal surgery, dental procedures, orthopedic surgery and surgical oncology such as complex mass removals. She received specialized training through Securos University and offers advanced orthopedic procedures such as tibial plateau leveling osteotomy (TPLO), extracapsular cruciate stabilization, patella luxation stabilization and fracture repair.

In her free time, she loves spending time with her loving husband, four beautiful children, her beloved Boxer, two adorable cats and 16 precious chickens that provide fresh eggs. If she is not at a sporting event cheering on her kids, she is likely home cooking, reading a book or working out at the gym. Dr. Marrinson loves to garden in the summer and enjoys her home grown tomatoes, blue berries and fresh herbs. She is a HUGE Georgia Bulldog Fan and loves her Saturdays watching football in the fall.
